On both of my 1988 Audi 90Qs, they have the sculptured "quattro" in chrome,
about 3/4 x 8 inches long, on the right side of the trunk lid. There is no
mention in the parts fiche of a smaller version for the 80/90. The fiche
indicates that the 8 inch chrome piece was from 09/86 to 09/91 in North
America and was part number 893 853 737 0.

This doesn't help you find it but it does mean that the shorter version
must come from a different North American model.
