RE: 4ksq key/headlight chime

It is in the wiring diagram in the bentley.  You will need to trace the wire 
colors to the block located under your left side dash.  There is a diagram on 
the back of the pocket on the left side that will locate it also.  I did not 
like the key in ignition part so I cut that wire and spliced it in to my radio 
circuit so the radio goes off with the key out of the ignition.

According to my owner's manual, my 4000 Quattro should have
a chime that dings when the key is left in the ignition switch
or the headlights are left on.  Apparently the PO removed it or
it just doesn't work.  Could somebody tell me where in the car
this thing is located?  Or in my case, not located?  The Bentley
manual doesn't even mention it as far as I can tell.
