I can't speak for the first car but I definitely looked into the latter one
... unfortunately, when I talked to her, she was still pretty firmly in the
$18-20K range. Whoever talked her down to $13k must have done a good job
... either that or the rest of us who looked into the car softened her up a
bit first. I can say with some confidence that had she been willing to sell
it to me for $13k, it would be sitting in my driveway right now and my '89
200q would have found itself a new home. :^(

What's too much? If you've got the money and want the car (camera, boat,
record album, etc.), the "official" price is largely irrelevant ... on two
occasions, I've paid over book for a used Audi with unusually low mileage
(less than 5k/year) and in exceptional condition and would happily do so
again. Remember, price isn't the only factor to be considered when
determining whether you got a "good deal" or not ... condition counts, too >>
Ah, yes!! then again I mentioned that solid driver '83 ur-q that I know of for
$6500 and that opens a lot of doors to the rest of us.
