Red lines on speedometer

Hi.

Can somebody tell me why there are red marks instead of 
white ones for 30 and 50 kph subdivisions on speedometers 
?

I don't really know if Audis features those red lines but 
VWs do.  Unfortunately, even my local vendor can not answer 
that question !
