Hot Weather Stumble and Bomb symptom

The hot weather is back and so is my hot weather problem. The car is a
'91 200Q. 4th gear, full throttle, mid range revs, 80+ degrees brings poor
acceleration and a feeling that something is intermittently cutting in and
out (about once per second) in the engine management system. Seems to
improve around 5K+ rpm. Boost sits at 1.6 (normal for this car) and the
fuel pump has been recently replaced. O2 sensor was also replaced. The
hose from the intake to the bypass valve is OK. I figure fuel, ignition
timing or boost, but am not sure what to check. Any ideas???

Another subject: Just had the bad bomb replaced. Aside from noticing less
effort to stop the car, the really horrible tramlining it has been doing
(with 225/50-16s) is much improved. Anybody else notice an effect on
steering?
