of V8 cat ceramic and Nittos

I have a couple of sentences that pertain to two different subjects:

1)  A friend gutted the cat to an 85 5k by standing it on end and ramming a
big ol' *heavy* pipe through it.  After 10 minutes of ramming, it was cleared
out.  HOWever, the resulting sound was pretty lame.  The resonation was too
raspy even for my 18-year-old-at-the-time tastes.  Replace with a test pipe or
similar filler piece,and keep da old cat for any future needs.  But you ain't
heard dat from me...

2)  I have Nitto extremes on my 4kq, and i give 'em a 7 or 8.  Definitely an 8
in the rain, a 7 1/2 on highway comfort, and a 7 on handling.  Maybe even a 6
1/2 on adhesion at the limit (95-mph on-ramps).  But I'm also pretty picky
when it comes to tires.  No Dunlops, No Contis, No Goodyear ('cept the GSC
track tires), and no Pirelli 'cept the P-zeros (probably my next tire).  I dig
the Yokes, but wear is a problem with my aggressive manners.  Which brings me
back to the Nittos... definite 8 on wear.
