Guess my email yesterday didn't make it to the list - I'll
have to yell at the listmeister :)
Got rearended yesterday in my 91 Ranger. Ouch. Neck, back
hurt a bit. The truck will need a new bed and the cab will
need some minor repairs to the spot(s) where the bed shifted and
impacted.
I've suddenly become more aware of crashworthiness and vehicle
safety (see www.highwaysafety.org) and I spent the morning doing
some research. It appears that the safety of new cars is
considerably better than older ones, which may shoot down
my theory that I will never get a new car...
98 Passat is looking very good as a replacement for the 85 4kq
my wife drives, except... it's not a quattro. The 95 A6 5sp
scored very well too I think, though it doesn't have all the
razzle dazzle safety features of the Passat.
