Acceleration when hot

Dear QListers,

I have a problem with my 90qs20v, which has just had a new performance
manifold fitted about three weeks ago.

When wanting to accelerate hard, and the engine is really hot i.e.
having sat in traffic for some time, the engine is really reluctant to
rev into the upper RPMs. The problem completely disappears once the
engine has cooled some i.e. once you have been moving for a few mintues.

I had hoped that the problem would be solved with the new manifold, but
no such luck.

Anybody had any similar experiences? fixes?
