OK, so I lied....( ur-q EFI - doing it again.....)
After I sent you a note I found my problem, actually. The hose from the
top of the engine to the intake had gotten loose. Got it back in place, reset
the fuel screw and it ran like it's supposed to. Ran fairly well for a turbo
engine in 95' weather.
Now that I think about it, my son went through a problem, similar to what
you are describing, with his '88 5KS. The car would idle fine for a while,
then go through the goofy stage. We found a 3/8" split on the bottom side of
the 3-way hose that held the ISV in place. Evidently the hose would seal up
when it was cold, then as it warmed up the split would weaken and create a
vacuum leak. Guess I'd recommend that you look for a cracked vacuum hose,
probably a big one (hose).
