I had a an '86 Coupe that did the same thing. If you press it in about
an inch it would pull automatically to the floor and then you'd have to
manually pull it up either with your foot or hand. My father sent me out
to look for a clutch master cylinder rebuild kit. I called around and
couldn't find it then I stopped buy this little shop in Atlanta and found
it for about $13. It came with all the seals and stuff to rebuild the
master cylinder. We replaced them all and popped it back in, adjusted
the clutch and drove it off into the sunset. When we looked at the old
seals, they were worn out. I much rather spending $13 on a rebuild kit
rather than $130 on a complete master cylinder
