Santa Barbara/Camarillo A4 Event Recap

Just a little bit of recap on the Audi A4
Extravaganza that was held on May 29-31 in
Santa Barbara and Camarillo CA. This event
was everything we wanted it to be. Somewhere
between 60 - 65 A4s showed up for the event,
with a 90CS, a new Boxster, a new Bug, and
several new Passats (oh yeah, one van also).
One A4 owner showed up with a AMS modified
1.8T turning over 330 bhp (Stage 6, I believe).
Many A4s came from Northern California, about
25-30 of them, and the remainder from SoCal
or central California. European Car Magazine
was there, Ronal USA, Bilstein, Koni, MaxSpeed
Magazine (a new one), and Turbo Car Magazine.
Aaron and Bill Neumann from Neuspeed sponsored
the event with food, beverage, two tents, and
a set of lowering race or sport springs for the
A4. Ronal was providing their full array of
aftermarket wheels at a considerable discount.
I ended up getting a set of 17" X 8.5" Ronal
R-28 wheels on Pirelli P7000 SS 225/45/17
tires....great deal. Clair Audi provided many
gifts, as did European Car Magazine, and LLtek
in Montreal.

Neuspeed was modifying chips out back, and about
15 1.8T A4 owners took advantage of the one day
discount of $160 for the 0.8 bar chip. Not bad,
35-40 hp for $160!

There is talk of making this an annual event
at Neuspeed....

Didn't see any qlisters there, or see any other
Audi's for that matter. The 90CS belonged to
one of our A4 brethren. Anyway, next year just
like this year, you are all welcome. We actually
had several people fly in from out of state:
Jason Teller from Toronto, RoyM from Philadelphia,
Neil McGarry from Seattle, and Matt Daniels drove
in from Salt Lake City UT.

That's about it. I more detailed write up will
be found on the NorCal A4 Owners Club webpage
in a couple of days. The site is located at:

Lastely, here is a pic of my A4 with the new
Ronal wheels:
