What $500 cam would that be.  I was at a track day with a coupe gt with an 
asimetrical 272 and it was fast.  Very strong and had a great sound at idle.  
I hear the 276 asim is even better.

Yes they do have the lobe.

I agree wholheartily here.  Exhaust is a big cheap gain.  Also advance the 
timing a few degrees.  Even cheaper.

When you replace the cam, it's probably a good idea to replace the 
lifters, but that's up to you.  Definitely replace the water pump and 
timing belt tho', unless they're confirmed new.  You're getting in there 
anyway, so it really makes sense.

All true and a very good idea.  If it goes really fast but sounds like crap it 
tends to bring down the high.
