I'm with you and Sarge on the SP-8000's. Haven't hydroplaned 'em yet in
all this El Nino stuff. (Don't try this on Michelin MXV-4's kids.) I
would say that the width of the tire makes a difference as well. A fat
tire will hydroplane much more easily than a skinny one. I guess that's
sort of figured into the formula through the tire pressure, but there
must be a more exact formula.
