Induction cleaning systems

We use the BG Products system in our shop, with notably good results,
and use 44K as an additive at every tuneup/major service. The tough
ones, usually cars not on the service program, get the intake manifold
application. We`ve used it for about 10 years, and most of the local new
car dealers have started to use it too. 44K is pretty expensive, about
20.00/can, but it seems to cut down on a lot of idle related problems,
and cleans the fuel system well enough that it often requires a pretty
substantial adjustment of the mixture soon after the service. It cannot
make up for problems relating to proper repair of vacuum leaks and a
good tuneup, you gotta do that yourself, guys. We consider it just
another part of a good service on a fuel injection engine. John
