RE: Low Oil Pressure Indicator Light on 86 4kcs Q

That would be my guess if it is not the senders. Yes you can pull the pan and
clean it. Just drop the front 2 bolts on the subframe it will drop about 6",
which gives you room to remove the rear bolts. You will also need to remove
the aluminum casting that blocks the rear bolts.

>-Oil pressure relief valve defective. (I do not know what this is)

Not sure there is one.

pump?

Very serously doubt bad pump.

>-Worn main or big-end bearings. (I do not know what this it)

Not sure why this would cause low pressure.

You should buy a $12 pressure guage and see what the pressure really is. If
it is alright than it is either the oil pressure control unit or the high
pressure sender. FIX IT BEFORE DRIVING. Or not and you might have an excuse
to do a turbo transplant.:-)
