when i bought my graphite metallic 4kq in 85, a guy i worked with had a
"black metallic" 84 4kq.
sitting side-by-side in the sunlight, his was obviously a brownish-tinged
black metallic while mine was just as obviously a grey-tinged black
metallic.
not sure if the urq colors were the same as 4kq colors by model year.
i do know that 2 or 3 of the 85 urqs on the list are graphite.
(at least anton's and glen's are reported as such.)
i don't recall hearing of a pre-85 graphite urq.
the guy could just be confused about the color...
(or colorblind?)  =8)
