A/C Accumulator

I replaced the Nippondenso compressor this weekend on my 89 200t.  Most of the
A/C shops recommend that I replace the accumulator/dryer since the compressor
was exposed to the atmosphere for about 3 weeks.

What kind of A/C system does my Audi have?  (My AllData CD & Chilton's manual
are useless here.)
Is the Accumulator replaceable?  If so, how much should I expect to spend?
