Naming this child...

fourrings v. audiphiles v. qlist:

I for one like "Four Rings". Consider this: Silver Star, meet Four Rings.
Classy affiliation, but different focus. Good Audi slogan too: "The new S4:
Runs four rings around the Silver Star". And so on and so forth.

Audiphiles sounds like it's missing an 'o' to me. "Did you say you're and
audiophile?" "No, no no. auDIphile." Sounds like a cop on the porschephile
group, too. Potential legal problems with Audi to boot. Pretty much a de facto
use of *their* name.

Qlist is exclusisionary of non-q owners. Too many people feel like "but I
don't have a quattro yet..." Heard that several times already. Strikes out as
a reference for general audi interest. FWD'ers who are looking for parts
sources/vendors/mechanics/etc may not venture here. So it's not as good for
attracting vendor advertising on the web site, either. Too limiting, IMO.

So, that's my .02. "Four Rings" would look nice on the cover of a magazine or
web page. I think it's a good choice, and leaves the most room for
organizational growth. YMMV.

With that, I yield the soapbox.
