Brett, thanks for posting about your experience with replacing the
multi-function temp sensor. I just replaced mine today (though Linda at
Carlsen gave it to me for $43--nice that it's local, too) and as I was
driving around, everything was normal for a while and then the climate
control kicked into high gear. The A/C has been only so-so since I bought
the car recently, but it seems to have improved now. 

I hadn't made the connection with the temp sensor until reading Brett's
message. So things do happen for a reason...

Also replaced the bomb today, which went fine. Might have overfilled the
reservoir: filled it once, drove around briefly, and it was down at "min."
Filled it again, drove around, and now it's really full. So I'll take some
back out tomorrow.

Tomorrow, I should be off on my cross-country trip. Here's hoping
everything goes well!
