I think I speak for all of those who try to help - what we would
_really_ appreciate is feedback on whether our suggestions work or
not.

On average, I have about three "endless threads" a week - these are
incidents in which I (and others) have suggested causes and fixes,
but in which the questioner has not posted the real, final solution.
