Testing alternator light



I would suggest that pulling the instrument cluster is not the easiest
of choices. Removing the plug at the back of the alternator and
grounding the 61 wire. On German cars, it`s bright blue.. If the lite
goes on with the key is on and the wire grounded, it`s not the bulb  If
the car is less than 10-15 years old, I`d be pretty surprised if it were
the bulb.
