Warping occurs due to uneven heat expansion within the rotor. This is
difficult to control but material choices and cooling schemes (cross
drilling, grooving, etc. )are very effective. Suggest good brand name
rotors, and finalizing any hard breaking drive with a 5 minute cooling
drive.... glazing pads must be intermittent (rotors become cherry
red...but only in the area under friction, with an enormous initial
difference in temperature with other areas )with substantial cooling (
around 5 minutes) between hard stops. Also ask your mechanic to torque
the wheel lugs at 82 foot pounds in the correct order ( not the criminal
air impact wrench at 240 ft. pds ) .
