of cranking is normal for a turbo. Something to do with the
long intake runner and lifting the throttle plate....

Yes. All 5 of them. This problem is so typical with the 200 that
Audi issued a TSB suggesting to replace all 5 injectors with the
new Viton ones. Do you have a fax? I'll send you the TSB.
I myself BTDT on the 200. Went from ~40 sec of cranking to 2-3
when I replaced the injectors.
In very rare instances it might also be a check valve in the fuel
pump.
