Good post Mike!

Having only recently seen URQs when driving the Shogun, no light flashing,
but coming home the other day I was flashed by a Belgium A4 - I live in the
UK. I think he liked my URQ rather than being worried by my speed!

As for TR6's, the TR4 had problems in the TR Register as it had wind up
windows, and was not considered a sports car...... as for the TR7... but
after 15 years of owning my TR6, it is still great fun, you have to wrap a
damp rag round the fuel pump to cool it on a hot day (it also has a
aluminium coil wrapped round the motor to cool it - the coolant - petrol!!)
and if you see ANY Triumph lights flashed, hoots, waves!

The thing is, that most cars these days are just run for A to B, even Audis
are now reliable enough for the general public to use them for that! So no
more blinking lights, apart from the few identifiable cars. My sister used
to have VW Beetles, and they always flashed & hooted, it was just the sense
of achievement of driving them, maybe its the same with older Audis, we've
battled and won to keep them going, and want to share that as we pass
someone in the same position...
