     It's been many, many, moons since I removed the
     upshift indicator switch from the '84 5KS, but
     that kind of sounds like what it looked like.
     If it IS indeed the upshift indicator switch,
     just bypass it, most useless annoying piece
     o'crap ever to find it's way onto a dashboard.
