The "Beam Type" aka the cheaper one,is not worth the money IMHO.Unless
you are prepared to settle for "close enough".You should also be
prepared to kneel,liedown and stand on your head or a box,so you can see
the needle on the,hard to read ,scale.The adjustable,"click type"is
adjustable in one lb (or nm) increments and tells you,with an audible
click,when you have reached your setting.
The beam type are not used in aircraft repair,unless it's on a bench,and
then only for very low ,inch pound,tourqe settings.Tourqe setting in the
100's of foot lbs are usually accomplished via. the "dial type".All
types
are calibrated regularly.Get the "click type" and "save some money".
