Alldata CDs

Well, I finally got around to stopping at my old employer's
garage last night to take a look at his Alldata CDs for the
Audi. Boy have they expanded. when I worked there we had
maybe 16, now he has over 36 of them to cover most of the
cars available in the USA.

I looked at the disc for the 1993 90S/CS (there was only one
disk to cover A-Ma 1993 only). I only spent about 15 minutes
looking around in the information, but what I saw seemed
pretty good to me. Under engine management it had a picture
of a fuel injector with the method to test the resistance to check
the injector. I also looked under the engine in general just to
see how good of a picture they had for the timing belt setup,
it looked like a pretty thorough diagram to me. I believe that
with a normal PC if the picture wasn't quite big enough you
could always right click on it to save it as a file and then enlarge
it. Either way, I believe the nice thing is that you can find the
information that you need, print it out (if you have a printer),
and then use it, if it gets dirty or torn, throw it away, you can
always make another copy.

There was even a section on the long/short intake runners and
how they affect torque/horsepower for the 12valve V6 engine,
with graphed results.

IMHO, this is a good reference for $25. No single source of
information will ever tell you everything you need to know
about a vehicle, for my Toyota truck I had two different
manuals (Haynes & Chilton) both of which provided good
information.

Just my $.02
