Trading my UrQ for .... a Trabant

Okay, just kidding....

But I did just buy possibly the only Trabant P60 (600?) in
the US. This is the "transition" model... P50 body and
P601 running (walking?) gear. This is the one that was
offered on Ebay by the National Association of
Automotive Museums. Just so happened that it was in
storage here in WI so I was able to see what I was bidding on.

To keep the curious from having to look it up on Ebay, the selling
price was $610. Hey, quit laughing! Remember how rare
the cars are over here! Anyway, it's really more of a charitable
contribution to a good cause. (My wife didn't buy that one either! :-) )

Anyway, that's why I'm wasting Q-list bandwidth... a plea for
help from our European members. (Alex has already given me
some off-line advice... thanks!) The museum has owned the car
almost 10 years. It was shown for a while and then partially
disassembled for restoration. The inability to get parts is their
reason for selling it. Hasn't been started in a few years.

I need a couple of things: first would be some sort of restoration/
workshop manual in English... preferably with photo's. (Frankly, on this car
it's hard to tell the difference between deterioration, amateur
restoration attempts, and the original quality of construction!)

Second would be some parts source(s) willing to sell and ship to
me here in the States. Specific known needs: seat covers, hubcaps,
and some exterior trim.

Any assistance would be much appreciated. Please reply off-list.
(Ridicule, of course, will be gladly accepted "on-list"
for the entertainment of all.)
