Insurance record search: was my car hit?

This weekend, I discovered that apparently my recently purchased
'95 A6QW has in fact been hit in the front. A couple of people
have said that there is some kind of search service where,
given the VIN, you can see if any insurance claims have been
filed for the car.

Before I call my insurance agent, or occupy cycles on AltaVista,
does anyone know of this service? I'd like to find out, so I can
talk with my dealer about it.
