Mt. Washington - yesterday

To: quattro
Q-list,

If you attended the Mt. Washington Hillclimb at all this weekend, I hope
you were able to make it on Sunday. Sunday's weather was perfect (and
resulted in a bEEEAUtiful sunburn on my face, neck, hands, and feet),
Sprongl set a new course record, and the Audi Corral turnout was
phenomenal.

The spectator's favorite entry seemed to be the Scirocco screamer with the
Audi 4K drivetrain. TAP's fwd A4 crashed :-(. Personally, I thought the S4
was the best *looking* entry, but I'm biased. In the corral, my favorites
were Joe Fritz's 5-spd V8q, the red '91 200tqw, Geoff Jones red UrQ, Andrew
Moffat's S4, and the red '93 S4 that Dave Flagg brought along.

Sadly, my car was the only non-q in attendance :-( Some day that will HAVE
to be rectified.

I took plenty of pictures, well, 27 pictures to be exact, and they will be
put in to be developed today, put on floppy and I'll post them as soon as I
am able.

3 regrets; first, Andrew Duane: I forgot to borrow your fuse jumper to pull
my codes, second, Rob Winchell: I still have the A/C wiring diagrams that I
was supposed to give you, third, Q-listers: I wanted to get everyone
together for a picture and forgot.

Otherwise, a great time (Paul Royal did a superb job of organizing the
event), a long drive (Bear Notch was a blast), and I'm looking forward to
next year.

ps - Chris Miller's 9-month old daughter, Becka (sp?), came along and spent
the day in the Corral's tent; my vote for cutest kid at the hillclimb goes
to her!
