Dealer Horror Story

This is one of the reasons I am glad I got rid of my '93 90S. The
dealer in detroit, Fred (my head is so far up my ....) Lavery, made
fixing small inconveniences a major hassle. They took over two weeks to
fix a headlight washer nozzle, order, repair, and paint the body colored
covering. Audi N.A. even called me performing a routine service survey
and I told them how unsatisfactory the repairs were at that dealer and
nothing ever happened. I actually had to rescue my car from this
dealer, in hopes to take it to another dealer, but the other dealer
rejected to perform the same repairs after they called and found out the
original dealer had already ordered the parts.
It has been almost a year without an Audi and it feels like an eternity
driving a pointed star.

Recovering Audi Owner

My advice: document everything, which it seems you have done. Decide
whether you want that car or not. Then get in contact with someone
competent enough at Audi N.A., this may take a morning. And then remedy
the situation using the person at the Audi N.A.. Don't be surprised to
see the dealer just ignore your complaints as the owner of Fred Lavery
Audi/Porsche/Range Rover did to me.
I believe Audi N.A. gives their dealers a long leash to make amends to
what they supplied them to sell in 80's.
