Here's a quick story for you:
About a year ago my wife and decided we wanted a bigger car. (You try
putting all the kit you need for a new baby in a 4k trunk.) We watched
the papers for a few weeks and didn't see anything interesting. Then we
spot a San Jose Nissan dealer advertisement for a '91 200 quattro.
"Those 200's are the bigger Audi's right honey?" So we went to look at
it. Wolff thinks: "Ooooh, this is nice!" Lisa says:"Oh, I've always
loved that pearl white paint!" I noticed that surprisingly and happily
it was not an automatic. The salesman claims that it is turbocharged.
"Yeah, right!" So I look under the hood and not only is it turbocharged,
but it says "20 valve turbo" right on the valve cover. That must be
good right? I took it out for a test drive. It's the fastest car I have
ever driven. Believe it or not, we actually went home without it. That
was Friday evening. Saturday morning we were back before the dealer
opened. Good thing we went early because a whole bunch of people that
_knew_ what it was showed up wanting to but it. We even talked the
dealer down $800 lower than the already below market value price because
of brake shimmy.(Which is now cured, thanks Jeff). So anyway, it doesn't
have "20v" emblazened anywhere, except under the hood. In fact, it
doesn't have anything but the 4 rings on the trunk. Very stealth, just
the way I like it.

Just to show how consistent I am, I was surprised to see a 5 cyl in my
4kq when I bought it. I figured it had the same 1.8l as my wifes 4k did.
Doh! (I have learned much since I have been on the list.)
