RE: No hands clapping...

Frankly, I'm pretty disillusioned by what seems to pass for "normal
programming" these days ... is it just me or has the camaraderie that I/we
once enjoyed been diminished of late? The discussions seem to have gotten a
lot less technical and the discussees often seem to be a lot less informed
than they were back in '93 or '94, when I first started reading and/or
contributing to the Q-list. While I don't mind sharing my knowledge with
others, over the years, I've grown to resent doing their homework for them.
I also don't like getting bogged down in discussing basics when my personal
interest lies in the more advanced and arcane aspects of a subject and I
especially don't enjoy getting caught up in the childish and petty antics
that seem to be occuring ever more frequently around here.
Like I said, though, maybe it's just me... :^(
