I think you'll all be please by this note...

Here are my plans for the archives:

For years now, I've been saving every "howto" post in a folder,
this in addition to the full archives.

When the new server comes online, I intend to have:

- fully searchable articles, on an individual basis (not a daily
  file like now)

- hypertext viewing (as it exists) but only for the current month

- breakdown of tech procedures/howtos on a per-model basis.
  Volunteers to micromanage sections for individual models are 
  wanted.

Stuff is out there, it's just a matter of pulling it all together.
I'm done waiting for that magical weekend when my wife says "sure
honey, spend the next 48 hours at the computer doing list stuff." :)

So, here's what I need for each model (ie 4000,5000,A4):

- someone to manage the "master" html page for each model that will
  have links to tech pages, and a subdirectory with articles.
  So, the tech page will be like "www.domain.com/tech/5000/index.html"
  and there will be multiple pages in that 5000 directory.
  Same goes for other models.
- someone(s) to take an article (already written in most cases) about
  a problem/upgrade/whatever and reformat it as an html page
- editors to review the articles to see if they are correct, and to
  see if there is anything that should be added.  In some cases, 
  several articles can be combined into an individual page.
  This will also be an ongoing process.

This is of course just a starting point.
Skills that are needed:

- a LOT of patience
- familiarity with an HTML editor or html code and a text editor.
- excellent knowledge of the procedures being discussed.

Hope that whets your appetite.  The new domain name has been 
selected and registered (no peeking!) and the new server
should be online soon.
