Re: 91 200TQW purchase questions

Greetings
Sounds like a car I bought Friday. Was the car in Maine? If so it's probably
the same one. You're right, a particularly clean car, and a very strong runner
to boot. Especially with those 215/60 15 Dunlops. Really the onl;y cosmetic
short coming is the fact that the wheels are slightly spotted from road salt.
I think they may clean up and look ok.

 1. What problems should I look for (I know about the UFO's)?
My opinion is that the ufo is a much better brake for the car however the cost
of replacement rotors is very steep, app 600/pr plus pads and labor. The rors
on this car are not warped and therefore no pulsation so they're ok for the
present.

 2. Should I be very concerned about that discoloration at the rear seams?
This apears to have cleaned up with compounding.

 3. Are the 91's any more difficult($$$) than the earlier 200's to maintain?
With the exception of the cost of the brake rotors and the fact that the
t/belt and water pump job takes a few hours longer, no.

 4. Anyone interested in my 89 200 >>
Sure, we always consider trades
