Re: Help with Corrado G60 parts?!

(snip)

:* means may not be necessary. My guestimation puts the parts bill between
:$3300, and $4700. Car price is not set in stone (better not be, I looked at
:it, and $1500 is too high for it). It ran and rolled when it first came in (1
:week ago by the rusty brakes). Body is straight (well, all panels rear of the
:a pillar line up perfectly). Paint is in very good shape (dark met. blue) and
:int. is in good shape. It has 109k on it.

I do not mean to question your wisdom here, but why on earth would you want to
buy a chassis like this for, oh, say, $1000, then put in $4500 worth of parts
and probably a few hundred man hours in order to have a car that currently sells
for between $5000 and $6500? Heck, I know of a VR6 that's up for sale for $7500
right now....

I understand projects. I've been wrapped up in them before too. But what is
your time worth? And why not get a whole car (one where you know what condition
the frame is in, etc.) and lovingly tweak *that*?

Just my .02......
