Funny you'd mention that. In the very early '90s, Cosworth was trying to
sell a V6 to Audi. They took a 90q (or was that 200q) -- one with the Audi
V6 2.8 and one with Cosworth V6 2.6(?) and compared them side to side.
They claim they get better power (200bhp-ish?), better reliability, better
milage, better acceleration, blah blah... over the Audi's SOHC V6. But
Audi didn't take the bait.

Personally, I thought that was pretty good. Even with the current guise of
5-valve per cylinder, the 2.8 V6 is still quite a slo-mo in its price
class.
