... total horse-hockey! DOT3 and DOT4 are compatible ... if you read the
cap on most fluid reservoirs it clearly states that DOT3 or DOT4 are
allowed. DOT4 has a tighter specification than DOT3, but there won't be a
problem when you mix them ,,, you are just better to assume the DOT3 specs
for the mixture ...
... you are probably thinking about DOT5, which is silicone-based.
