Late Model Headlights

Just wondering if anyone out there has a first generation
A6 with the projector/multi headlights. They appear to
have two projector beams and one regular beam. I'm
assuming the projectors are for low beam and fog, with
the regular beam being the high beam.

I was wondering what exactly the beam setup is and what
kind of bulbs that setup uses, and most importantly, how
good is the light distribution with that setup?

I've got a '93 90S with just the 9003 bulb headlights, they
give off a good light pattern, but I'm always looking for
more light. My glass area is a trapezoid approximately
5 & 3/8 inches high, 10 inches on top, and 10 & 3/4 inches
on the bottom.

If the projector beams give off good light, and are the same
size, I would like to explore the possibility of retro-fitting
the projector style lights to my car.
