Coupe GT Fuel Filter R&R
Hi gang:
The small flare nut on the fuel line that tightens into the big nut on the
fuel filter opposite the banjo nut is (as Phil would put it) pretty well
knackered. My mechanic replaced the fuel filter and there's so much
corrosion down there the nut's sides are completely wasted. He managed to
get it tight with some massive slip jaw pliers (its not leaking anymore),
but its just not right and leaves me with an uncomfortable feeling about
future changes down the road. I can see that I'll need to replace
everything on the fuel pump support bracket: busings, accumulator, fuel
pump, etc.
Any BTDT's on replacing this flare nut, or am I doomed to replace the
entire (!) fuel line?
TIA,
-Tony
