Re: Fwd: Headlight brilliance
Mark,
Don't worry, I won't go for your throat. All I'll say is good driving
lights aren't that expensive. You can get some great Piaa's under Dick
Cepek's name for around $40. Yep, same light, just has `ol Dick Cepeks'
name on the lens. And I'll bet dollars to doughnuts other big name light
makers, (Bosch, Hella, etc.) offer their wares with other companies'
names on them, for less, as well.
I own a `86 Coupe GT. Same crappy lights. I put in 85/100 H-4 bulbs.
Little, if any, effect. Has to do with the wiring, I guess. So I threw
on these lights, and I can see fine without "Flashbulb'ing" all on-coming
traffic. They look great, work great, and are 100% legal in CA, at
least. So instead of messing with the headlights, go out and spend the
measly forty bucks or so to see in the dark. You'll feel good, the other
drivers will stop cursing you, and you'll stop getting "Flamed".
