RE: Pulling Dash on Ur-q, Recommendations, Advise ??

David,

I'd go to a boneyard and pull the gauge panel from an Audi 4000S. That
has all the gauges that you will need and it fits perfectly in place of
where the locking diff controls are in the UR-Q, and it looks totally
stock.

What do I do with the locking diff controls, you ask?

Well, move them over to the other side of the dash and they fit
perfectly in that pocket to the left of you, when you are in the drivers
seat. This is really not all that hard. Just takes some injinuity, and
many listers have done it and you can get more specific advice from
them. It looks totaly stock, is much cheaper than the ABT gauge panel,
and you don't have to cut up your dash to do it.

The only list member I know off hand that has done this with a UR-Q is
Scott Grundewald, and I don't remember his email address. I can try to
find it at home if your interested though.

Later,
Dan
