Octane Boosters - Methanol & MBTE

I dunno about the methanol = bad idea, maybe in high []. My new and
improved Brooks' Fool Booster is 2 parts tolulene (or xylene), 1 part
Methanol, and a propritary (ie I don't know) small amount of Marvel Mystery
Oil. The MMO's in there because I've heard from generally reliable people
that it seems to help engines, lifter noise, ugly drivers, just about
anything. So I figure it can't hurt, maybe extend the life of the fuel pump
or something dumb like that.
