Believe it or not, a possible source for this information would be the old
"Car Craft" magazine (I think that is what it is/was called) from the late
'70's early '80's. I remember reading about water injection and companies
that produced kits for the old muscle cars. If I remember correctly, yes -
the metering was critical to avoid bending rods and it was developed to
prevent detonation in the high compression, carbeurated sp? performance
V8's, etc. Check out some back issues and you'll find articles on the
subject.
