don't underestimate the lexus.  we have both a new a6q and an even newer
lexus gs300.  lexus' computer controlled traction and skid control
may not be able to compete with the quattro, but the extra 25-30 hp and
400lb less weight do make a difference.  the lexus feels nimble and
powerful and accellerates effortlessly, while the a6q seems in comparison
sluggish and underpowered.  the gs 300 also has a road grip that is every
bit as good as a6q.  

gs 400 is even better.  it's more powerful than any car in its price class
and handles great.  but i couldn't drive it because the steering was too
stiff for my carpal tunnel syndrome.

now, if the a6q had another 40-50 hp, then it'd be without any
competition.
