My red CQ has this. There's a very easy solution, recomended to me by a
friend who collects old cars.  It's called Safe Cut, and is the most
amazing stuff.  It's a very mild abrasive, so mild I've used it on glass
and plastic.

A couple of drops of this stuff, polish & wax and your car will look like new.

My $.00002 worth.
