Truth is - I don't know.

I've never met a car that performed as well as yours did with a dead
WOT switch.  There are at least two variables in the equation:

a) A 'different' EPROM.  The label was written by a German educated
   in the southern part of the country - the '1' is quite
   characteristic.  I cannot relate the lettering to any numbering
   scheme I'm familiar with.  The resin flow is also interesting -
   it's a very neat job and well beyond the capabilities of Superchips
   et al.  QLCC standard, in fact.  I have no doubt that it's a factory
   job.

b) The metering head is identified by colour flashes - a large green
   splash and a white dot.  These are not UK markings - the only
   professional UK-based head rebuilders (KMI in Fulham) don't use
   these marks.

Overall - the car seems to have none of the characteristic leaning out
of an MB engine.  The exhaust after a long cruise was a pleasant grey
colour, and yet there was no undue richness at idle.

There's no doubt whatever in my mind that the vehicle was specially
prepared by the factory for some purpose.  Just why, and what they
did, I would like to know.  It's a very interesting car.

If your EPROM had had the usual silver sticker on the EPROM, I would
have been able to tell you the precise overboost timings.  As it is,
I really have no idea what's in that chip.

(For the QLCC - this MB was pulling close to 5 psi with the WOT
 switch completely dead and Orin's WGFV light dead as a dodo.
 With a pseudo-WOT enabled, Roger saw up to 8.8 psi - the usual
 MB limit.  Standard 75mm x 3 mm x 3.5 turn blue dot spring.
 No spacers - stock wastegate.  When we ran the 8.8 psi boost
 for a while the system seemed fully fueled.  No a/f meter
 attached, though.)
