Camaraderie

I have found some Audi camaraderie on the road. From other 4kq drivers, a
smile, a wave and a thumbs up. Generally when I see another Audi on the
road I try to catch up to it for a better look. I have not had so much as
a glance from other Audi drivers. I also have found a degree of
camaraderie from mechanics. No not just because they see $$$$. Most
mechanics say "great cars, they just keep running". From most other folks
I hear "nice car those are expensive to maintain, right?" I find my 4kq
quite economical to own (door handles, window regulators and sunroof
aside). I put about 800miles a week on my car. There are very few cars at
12 years old and 188k that I would trust to get me safely from point A to
B. Especially the way I drive. Not to say I mercilessly beat on my car.
I drive it hard and fast, when circumstances permit. I do most of the
maintenance myself. Yes I love my car. My friends think I a little nuts.
I get comments like "188k I hope you make it home" or "you sure wash you a
lot" Ok so maybe I'm a little touched. Oh well.

If you see a red 4kq VT plates with a dead sticker, honk wave, I'll wave
back.
