I know someone who had a '91 90 Quattro 20v in pearl white that gold 
plated his badges, as well as his ~3.5" tip.  He was running 15" chrome
Momo Quazars(sp?) at one time, and then later 17" silver Rial's.

The badges themselves actually didn't look that bad, against the somewhat
yellowish/cream colored pearl white.  The Rial's looked much better than
the Momo's.  The tip, well, I'll reserve comment about that part.

Then there was his black ur-q with 15" chrome "florenstars" (or "hammers")
prior to that.  But then we all go through stages...
