There is an almost full-page picture of an MB cylinder head that
received the treatment - porting, new cam, etc., etc.
On the next page it discusses tuning the MB by doing such things.
The owner of the pictured head is none other than John Robinson, Club
Treasurer of the UK Audi quattro Owners Club. He was somewhat
nonplussed when Roger and I showed him the picture last Thursday - he
read the description of what performance benefits the porting, etc.,
brought and nearly exploded. The car sucks rocks above 4500rpm, for
obvious reasons.
I seriously recommend that anyone showing this volume to Scott Mockry
make damn sure he isn't eating or drinking anything at the time. It
would also be useful to remove sharp objects from the area.
There are places where you just have to laugh. There are others where
crying is more appropriate. It is _sadly_ deficient when covering the
later models. Very, very sadly deficient. Very superficial indeed.
